growing a beard

growing a beard (or trying to) is annoying. you just leave it there and groom it. it hits this awkward stage where its hard to maintain and its really really itchy and then you decide to give up on it. but alas, you must push through.

to make a larger point, most things in life are like that. you can only get so good just letting it be— at some point you have to put in effort to get better. its going to be annoying, there are stages where you’re not going to believe in it. but you must push through because theres something at the other end. truthfully, i dont know what that something is. what if the beard looks horrible on you? well at least you never have to do it again. but what if it looks great? at least youll die knowing that it looks great on you.

similarly, in life, youre not guaranteed a result but youre guarnateed a lesson. what you do with that lesson is up to you.
