fairfax lake park

fairfax lake park in virginia is gorgeous, in fact i think i just found a new love out here…

skating is genuinely so cool but its anathema to my lifes philosophy (so far) of no risks. well, ive taken a lot of personal risks and ive been lucky enough to walk away unscathed. but those were decisions i made in the moment, ya know?

theres something risky about learning how to skate, i dont know how to describe it. no matter how good you are, theres a pretty good chance youll walk away with a bruise or a cut or a scratch— risk like that, real, material, but superficial, those are risks that ive always found myself unable to make. why would you do something if you know you’re bound to get hurt every time you do it.

i think im gonna go to walmart and get a skateboard. tomorow when i come to pick up rochan, we’re gonna come back here and skate for a little bit.

also this weekend i think i have to do an open mic. i have some ideas for sure for that, ive been jotting down things as they come for that. i should probably flesh out the ideas for that.
