this website

this website is due for a facelift i think. while i love the design and aesthetic right now, theres a lot to be desired. for one, each of these blog posts is made with a python generated template, thats just gross. it should never be that difficult. theres actually a reason for that though. if you go and read my earlier work youll see that i wanted markdown to work really badly as the source for these blogs. unfortunately, storing these blogs in firebase as markdown text wouldnt let me render them in real time on the webpage. mdsvex for one reason or another has to do its magic at compile time, not run time (i believe that was the reason).

the technical challenge of porting over the current system is going to be annoying, but on top of that i really want to add new features. i want to track page visits (to see how often a page is being viewed) and perhaps see what region of the world that traffic is coming from. that would be really cool i think. i also want feedback now that i know people are reading these pages. they should be able to comment and i can respond however they want me to. i really want to filter for bots though and i need a smart way to make new blogs. i also have to manage my streaks and i also need a system that will auto commit a prewritten story if i get busy some day or something crazy happens in my life.
