a conflict between the heart and the head

the conflict in my heart made my head spin. i know now what i wish id acted on then: you can’t love someone and pretend not to so you’re either all in or not in it at all. the space in between doesnt exist. its the paralysis between your heart knowing what it wants and your brain acting in precisely the opposite way, knowing its too good to be true. a lesson learned i suppose.
