loyalties

there is one person in my life besides my family, who has my loyalty for the rest of their life: paige.

she has shown me an incredibile amount of love and grace in life. ive known her since i was a kid and shes made me the kind and thoughful, combatative and stubborn, affable and affectionate human being and man that i am.

despite all my shortcomings, she loves me as i am. despite all the reasons ive given her to leave, she chooses to stay.

“i forgive you in eternity” she’s said to me. shes the hardest lesson ive had to learn. i came out better from it, of course. i was a better person for ali. im proud most of never leaving her calls unanswered like i did so often with paige. and from ali i learned a lot too, and ill carry those on to the next love i find.

although we may not have worked out, and thats for the better, i hope she finds all the love and happiness that life has to offer.
