still not getting the point

its one thing to recognize a mistake or a flaw and another to fix the mistake.

i said yesterday even though i was home i didn’t spend a lot of time talking to my dad. its true. i only exchanged a couple words with him. today. just asked him how his day is. then i went into my room and i locked the door and watched tiktok for 45 minutes.

isn’t that such a sad state of affairs? im not the only one that does this. how many people in our lives do we miss out on because we’re scrolling.

i just have to fix this problem at the root cause. i need some sort of solution that is impenetrable. Would we be better off if these short form video platforms just died? Some people depend on it for livelihood but how many people waste away their lives on these apps? i really only go on a binge once or twice a month but people do this for hours a day every day.

what a sad sad situation we live in.

really quick, i think im going to establish some rules for myself.

i need some general rules on how this works.

  1. no stopping sessions. if a session is active, you cannot override it.
  2. during work hours, no social media at all period.
