learning at work

one thing im learning as that school did not teach me how to be efficient while i work. due dates could be extended, work could be pushed out, you could turn it in late for a penalty.

but in the real world? none of that exists. you either get it done or you get in trouble at work, cant pay your bills, get repossessed, and then die alone. clearly, much better incentives to get it done.

i get the workaholics now. i spent all day at the office today, got home and spent most of the day on work, and for the foreseeable future, this will be my life. part of it is my fault, during work hours im not as productive as i should be.

part of it is im still learning, there are new skills i have to pick up and that just takes time. so there’s that. im doing some power bi stuff on top of the regular fno programming and it has its benefits.

im definitely seeing my abilities increase day by day.
