the uber driver

today i sat in an uber and i noticed the driver was from india. he asked if he could pick up a call, i said it was okay, and he answer with ‘salam’.

i asked him if he was sufi muslim. he said im just muslim.

and you know what? that stuck with me today. who cares? why do we divide up people and groups even?
