the pace of ai

growing up, i knew that ai was going to change the world. i wrote about it in my essays, i even gave a talk on ai a week before chatgpt came out. i firmly believed that ai was going to change the world.

and years later, here we are. is the world changed? absolutely. an insane number of people are out the job, companies are rethinking their hiring, and the degree i spent 4 years earning is probably not as valuable as it used to be.

can i be honest? a part of me is upset that i was both extremely good at and passionate about became something anyone could do on a general level.

i feel like a horse when they made cars.

anyway, i know that my future pursuits have to be in creative self endeavos that involve the passions i have (basketball, building things, code). and so thats what im going to do. i graduate 2 weeks from today. that is absurd.
